Evergreen Western Red Cedar Siding
When it comes to siding, there is nothing more authentic than the look of wood. Our wood siding is a premium finger-jointed Western Red Cedar that is engineered for greater dimensional stability and primed with an oil base coat and a latex top coat.
Easy to handle long boards speed installation and tend to lay flush and straight. Cedar is naturally durable and resistant to moisture, decay and wood boring insects and the even grain and consistent density means your siding is less likely to cup, swell or twist after it’s installed.
Evergreen Western Red Cedar is responsibly harvested from sustainably managed Pacific Northwest forestland and milled in an assortment of traditional siding profiles.

Our exterior siding products are architecturally correct to help preserve the historic character of your home. Milled to match traditional architectural styles and profiles, you’ll find our wood siding to have a more generous thickness. If you’re renovating an older residence or restoring a historical building where the siding profile is just a little thicker, then this siding will be a better match.
Western Red Cedar Siding & Trim
There is nothing like the warmth and natural beauty of Cedar siding on your home. An excellent building material, Cedar is resistant to rot and moisture related problems like mildew and fungi. Also siding made from Cedar tends to resist common wood problems like splitting, swelling and cupping.
Cedar accepts a wide range of finishes from clear, protective coatings to pigmented stains and paint without bleed through. If left untreated Cedar will gradually age and turn silver over time.

Bodyguard Exterior Siding
This is a premier wood product that’s available in a variety of traditional siding profiles to match or enhance West Coast architecture. Sustainably sourced from the Pine forests of New Zealand. Bodyguard is milled from kiln-dried lumber with defects such as knots and resin pockets removed prior to finger-jointing.
Bodyguard is treated under pressure with a carbon-based solution that penetrates the wood. This environmentally friendly preservative extends wood life and provides protection against decay, corrosion and insects. Above ground applications include exterior and interior siding.

TruExterior Siding
The Craftsman Collection offers a variety of authentic, full-thickness siding profiles with bold, defined shapes and the natural aesthetic of traditional wood siding — all without the maintenance and upkeep associated with wood siding.
Consisting of more than 70% recycled materials, TruExterior® can be worked just like wood and painted any color with a good quality latex exterior house paint.
Approved by CAL FIRE for use in Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones (VHFHSZ) or Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) zones.
Boards provide a high level of dimensional stability with changes in humidity and temperature, and can even be painted a dark color on a Western or Southern exposure and still maintain stability.
TruExterior siding is exceptionally durable and is resistant to rotting, cracking, splitting, termites and fire. The exclusive Poly-ash microstructure is virtually impervious to moisture and the siding can be used in moist or ground level applications.

Sunset’s Idea House is quite literally perched in the Oakland Hills overlooking the Bay Area. This five-level, 3600 sq. ft. cantilevered home is clad in a combination of Artisan Lap and V-Groove exterior siding by James Hardie.

Red Cedar Shingles
Shingles were the siding of choice for many architectural styles of the Arts and Crafts movement, especially the Craftsman Bungalow so commonly found in the Bay Area. We carry Red Cedar shingles that are precisely milled with a refined appearance.
Dimensionally stable, Cedar resists swelling, and has less splitting and cupping. Shingles are sold in random widths in bundles. A bundle covers roughly 25 square feet with a 7" exposure.

Rainier Plank
Rainier Plank is milled by a small specialized company with a long family history of lumber. Their planks feature vertical grain Western Red Cedar laminated to a finger-jointed, tight knot Cedar core. The warm look of vertical grain WRC is a natural for interior walls, ceilings and exterior soffits. Whatever the use, this product provides a premium appearance at an affordable cost over solid wood while extending our natural resources.

Vulcan Vent
Flame-resistant vents are on the front line of defense against embers, which often travel miles ahead of the fire and fire wall. Vulcan Vent use a 304 stainless steel mesh layer to provide air flow while stopping the smallest of embers from entering the attic and crawlspaces. Combined with a honeycomb matrix with a intumescent coating layer that puffs up around 450 degrees, forming a carbon layer that stops radiant heat and flame penetration.
